Walmart To Hire Digital Currency & Cryptocurrency Product Leads Soon.

The leading United States retailer by total sales, Walmart, is looking
to hire a digital currency and
cryptocurrency product lead.
In line with the retailer's
careers page, the new role seeks
to offer leadership with ways
to spot technology and customer trends.
Investments needed
to create on those existing trends will also be advised by the Bentonville-(AR)-based cryptocurrency product lead.
A part of the role's remit embody driving the retail giant's digital currency strategy. Identifying digital currency related partnerships and investments
will also be
a part of the role.
Two years earlier, Walmart applied for a patent on a price-stable crypto
almost like Facebook’s nascent project, then referred Libra.
Walmart has also experimented with DLT [Distributed Ledger Technology] for nonfinancial uses
like tracking drugs and food along
the availability chain.
Also earlier this year, Walmart created a fintech unit called
Hazel. The move signaled the big-box retailer has not lost its appetite for
a bit of
the buyer finance pie since its unsuccessful
plan to get a United States bank
charter within the early 2000s.
