In line with a recent news published by a local media outlet ‘Viet Nam News,’ the Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corp. has set a goal to become Vietnam’s leading blockchain technology supplier within next 5 years. The Corp. is a development and innovation wing of Vietnam’s largest telecom operator ‘Viettel Group’.
The Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corp. was established earlier in Oct. to target providing data and communication technology solutions to the governmental and industrial sectors, and to help in building a digital government.
While speaking at a workshop known as “Blockchain at Viettel,” the company’s deputy general director ‘Ngo Vinh Quy’, reportedly added that Viettel is keen to stay pace with development trends, together with the [Blockchain Technology]. ’Vinh’ assured that the corporation has the required resources, together with funding, specialists, and network infrastructure to research and deploy [Blockchain].
Adding further ‘Vinh’ mentioned:
“[Blockchain] is a limiteless system. The foremost troublesome task for Viettel is selecting the most effective blockchain technology that may be applied in daily lifestyles.”
Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corp. has already developed a blockchain-based resolution to boost file management within the health care sector.
The new management supposedly permits the association of entire medical networks, together with the Ministry of Health, provincial health departments, patients, and several connected entities on the nationwide level. The model is currently awaiting approval from the country’s Ministry of Health.
Some other Asian countries have already deployed [Blockchain Technology] in their telecoms networks. South Korea’s largest telephone firm, the state-owned KT Corporation, proclaimed the launch of its blockchain-powered industrial network to create it “more secure and transparent” in July. KT plans to permit its individual and clients to store and transfer their digital information with “less hacking risks.”
Also earlier in July, China’s 3 major telecom operators — China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom— revealed a [Blockchain Analysis Group], that aims to “build a trustworthy blockchain application team to explore the blockchain space” and seeks to extend understanding of “new applications within the area of blockchain digital assets, telecommunication assets and next-generation telecommunication network.”
