In line with a recent report 'published' by native news outline ‘Wood-TV’, United States federal agencies reportedly raided the work-office of a Michigan-based science and tech center last month in a crypto-related investigation.
According to the report, Chris Boden, the founding father of ‘The Geek Group’, made a live public statement on YouTube recently, that has been deleted. Boden reportedly claimed the work-office of his tech-oriented, non-profit organization had been raided by members of the U.S. FBI [Federal Bureau of Investigation] along with DHS [Department of Homeland Security] on 21st Dec., elaborating that computers and other alternative systems were taken from his the work-office.
Wood-TV published that Boden had said that he was “commercially trading in crypto-currency [sic] without any authorization.”
The founder conjointly reportedly believes he's facing federal imprisonment time and up to $100,000 USD as legal fines.
As per Boden’s recent Facebook 'post' on 6th Jan., he posted that he would be writing a live public statement in an open 'Google Doc', that by press time reads:
“On the recommendation of legal council i will not further comment additionally on the Government’s ongoing investigation.”
Even last month, the chief executive officer of Romania's largest crypto exchange Coinflux was 'reportedly' arrested on a warrant issued by the U.S. for fraud, organised crime and ML [Money Laundering].
