Network administrators wrote earlier within the day in a Telegram posting that the loss was over 3x times that amount but updated the figure. They also wrote that the Thorchain network had been halted while developers investigated the extent of the breach.
“While the treasury has the funds to hide the stolen amount, we request the attacker get in touch with the team to debate return of funds and a bounty commensurate with the discovery,” the administrators added on Telegram.
