In line with a recent announcement, Saratov Oblast - An area within the Southern Russia, has conducted a reportedly victorious blockchain election with 40,000 participants.
On 12th Dec., participants voted to elect members of the native Youth Parliament employing the blockchain-driven electronic polling system named ‘Polys’ that was developed by Kaspersky lab, earlier in 2017.
In line with the announcement, the decentralized network was deployed at over a hundred polling stations and the election lasted for seven hours.
Blockchain employed voting mechanisms are being actively tested on each of the levels at regional and national sections in several countries. Switzerland also enforced blockchain-based 'voting' earlier this summer, whereas the United States of West Virginians has recently 'announced' employing a blockchain-based mobile option app for casting traveler ballots within the forthcoming midterm elections.
Whereas the prime minister of Ukraine ‘Yulia Tymoshenko’, who is presently also running a presidential campaign for the March 2019 elections, needs to tackle corruption 'employing' blockchain.
