Leading Blockchain tracking platform ‘VeChain’ recently on 20th June revealed that its blockchain-based medical data management platform developed in association with digital healthcare solution firm I-Dante has gone live and is able to store COVID-19 testing results. The platform, dubbed E-NewHealthLife, was deployed within the Mediterranean Hospital within the Republic of Cyprus.
Cyprus citizens who attend the hospital’s COVID-19 laboratory to undergo real-time diagnostic and antibodies testing, will have their medical and test records on the blockchain. The records are going to be encrypted, hashed and uploaded onto the VeChainThor Blockchain. The results also will be available on the E-HCert application. Adoption of E-HCert, the corporate added, reduces the associated prices of storing and sharing data.
Users Have Full Access Over Their Personal Details
E-HCert App shows immutable test results and also permits its users to have full access over their data as well as their medical records. Once the test is completed, users can access their results via the app solely. With the E-HCert records, people in Cyprus can also legally collaborate with the native quarantine and health regulations so as to return to work, book a flight abroad, and be authorized for other activities also.
As reported earlier, Civic Technologies also recently revealed its new cryptocurrency wallet to trace medical employees’ COVID-19 vaccination records.
