In line with a recent official ‘statement‘, the Malta-based crypto exchange OKEx proclaimed that it’ll list Bitcoin Cash ABC under the original Bitcoin Cash [BCH] ticker.
As per the announcement, the 6th largest crypto exchange will be amending the ticker of Bitcoin Cash ABC from BCHABC to BCH. It’ll also modify the Bitcoin Cash SV ticker from BCHSV to BSV. The ticker switch is expected to take place today i.e.13th Dec. around UTC +1.
Spot mercantilism of both BCHSV and BCHABC will remain suspended whereas all remaining balances of the original Bitcoin Cash will be settled and removed from users’ accounts. Spot trading is supposedly expected to resume 2 hours after the initial suspension.
Bitcoin Cash ABC has earned the BCH ticker on several other major exchanges also. On 8th Dec., the Gemini crypto exchange supported by the Winklevoss brothers proclaimed that it’ll “only be providing support for the Bitcoin ABC network.”
Earlier in Oct., United States-based wallet service and exchange Coinbase created a similar decision, while stating it might “continue to judge the security of the BCH SV chain.” Coinbase aforesaid that it sided with the ABC camp due to “a variety of factors together with the actual fact that ABC incorporates a higher hashrate and a extended PoW [proof-of-work] chain.”
Bitcoin Cash split into Bitcoin Cash ABC [Adjustable Blocksize Cap] and Bitcoin Cash SV [Satoshi’s Vision] in a hard fork that was the results of a network update on Nov. 15. Since the split, Bitcoin Cash ABC — by Roger Ver — seems to have claimed victory.
Last week, Florida-based company ‘UnitedCorp’ [United American Corp.] filed a ‘law-suit‘ against a slew of major corporations and personages within the crypto phase along with the Kraken crypto exchange, crypto mining firm Bitmain, and Roger Ver.
The case filed ‘alleges‘ that the suspect’s used unfair strategies and practices to control the BCH network for their own profits. It further added that on 20th Nov., the Bitcoin Cash ABC developers team placed a “poison pill” into the blockchain by approach of a “Deep Reorg Prevention” so as to strengthen management over the Bitcoin Cash blockchain ledger.
