According to a recent official press release on Sep. 5th, the primary distributor of luxury cars in United states has started accepting Bitcoin ‘BTC’ and Bitcoin Cash ‘BCH’ as a mode of payment.
The luxuryautomobiledistributor,ownedby ‘Tilman Fertitta’ has integrated crypto payment serviceplatform‘BitPay’ to letcustomerspurchase their cars in digital currencies. The press release further mentioned to accept payments in cryptocurrencies from customers across the globe.
Fertitta commented thatthe company hasplannedto employthe new paymentchoicesso asto providetheir customers “theabsolute bestshopping expertise”along with “anyone across the world”to purchase the automobiles “efficiently and easily.”
However, only late last year, Fertitta had told reportersthat almost allindividualswouldnever be purchasing bitcoins, since “it’s not insured by the FDIC corporation[Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation].”
Moreover, earlier this year, major automobilemanufacturing company‘Ford’ filed a patent for a system for vehicle-to-vehicle communicationterminologiesthat involved the exchange of crypto tokens to facilitate traffic flow.
Even in March this year, Germany-basedautomotiveproducing company ‘Daimler AG’ well known for its Mercedes-Benz andSmartbrands, introduced its own crypto currency ‘MobiCoin’so asto reward drivers for eco-friendly driving practices,likelow speed driving.
