The most awaited Litecoin [LTC] native Visa open-end debit credit has been launched by BlockCard.
Explaining further, Charlie Lee added that this is often their second attempt at the endeavour after the previous one failed: “We previously worked with LitePay on a debit credit but that failed when LitePay went out of business.”
Lee also drew a distinction between this Litecoin-native debit credit and other cryptocurrency cards that support the currency:
“There are other cryptocurrency debit cards available today that support Litecoin, but they only support funding with LTC. This card is natively Litecoin, so funds are kept in LTC until you swipe the debit card.”
Though Litecoiners can already pace their order for their card, the service itself won’t be made available for an additional few weeks. On a lighter note, Lee added his opinion that there’s no such thing as a “Litecoin maximalist”:
“I don’t think that even exists. Most Litecoiners support and hold BTC also.”
Customers will to be able to proceed with their deposits in twelve of the foremost popular cryptocurrencies, including all major stablecoins. consistent with Lee, around 300 users have already signed up thus far. Meanwhile Litecoin has continuously stayed among top ten coins by market capitalisation and has one among the greatest followings on social media.
