Huobi Exchange Granted Operational License By Hong Kong SFC.

Crypto exchange operator Huobi has been granted a license from Hong Kong’s SFC [Securities and Futures Commission].
British Virgin Islands-incorporated Huobi Technology Holdings
revealed today on Thursday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Huobi Asset Management, had received permission to manage portfolios investing in virtual assets.
Solely after the news, Huobi is now launching Bitcoin [
BTC], Ethereum [
ETH], and multi-strategy funds,
consistent with Chinese blogger Colin Wu.
The new funds
alongside Huobi's sizable ecosystem could bring more traditional Asian investors into the crypto ecosystem, he added.
Wu raised as a possible issue that Huobi's "founder cannot leave China and is under investigation."
Also earlier in January, multiple sources revealed that a key executive was in custody with Chinese police due to an ongoing investigation
associated with the exchange’s OTC [Over-the-Counter] trading service.
