John McAfee’s awaited Ghost distributed exchange is live now, the cryptocurrency advocate announced on Twitter recently.
The Ghost distributed exchange is said to be McAfee’s privacy project Ghost, a symbol of Stake privacy coin intended for more anonymous & secure transactions. McAfee added on social media that Ghost will be replacing the McAfeeDEX distributed exchange soon. The Ghost main net itself is predicted to go live on 22nd June.
Ghost has been the topic of contention for months especially after McAfee himself admitted Ghost “copy-pasted” parts of its technical paper from PIVX. Even so, he seemed poised to sue PIVX–an open-sourced protocol–for defamation. PIVX is additionally planning to use a zk-SNARKs-based privacy protocol made by privacy coin Zcash [ZEC]. It’s also expected to launch within the fourth quarter of this year.
“PIVX is attempting to claim that their source-code is openly available, but their technical paper isn’t ,” he tweeted earlier in May. “Claiming a product in open source while with-holding the documentation, seems to be alike fraud. Pure and straightforward. I will soon demonstrate that within the courts.” PIVX, however, told that it can’t be sued as it’s not a legal entity and nobody person has ownership of its development.
However, due to alleged tax-reporting charges, the John McAfee has been living in exile since 2019.
