Leading cryptocurrency exchange founded by the Winklevoss brothers, Gemini, has just revealed its new support for 3 new fiat currencies on its platform.
In line with a recent official announcement published on 17th Aug., Gemini now permits its users to trade the Hong Kong dollar [HKD], the Australian dollar [AUD], along with the Canadian dollar [CAD].
The three new fiat currencies come in addition to the U.S. dollar, permitting Gemini users in Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada to purchase and sell crypto currencies with native currencies.
However, HKD, AUD, and CAD are presently not offered via Gemini’s crypto trading platform referred to as the Active Trader platform. The currencies will become available soon as a part of a new product roadmap, the announcement added.
Gemini’s latest expansion into new currency offerings comes shortly after Gemini revealed its new collaboration with global tech giant Samsung. Revealed earlier in May, the partnership aims to permit Samsung Blockchain Wallet users to link to the Gemini mobile app to purchase, sell and trade crypto assets.
