CryptoPunk Acquired By MoonPay For $3 Mln In Ethereum.

MoonPay, a financial technology payment technology firm, has paid more than $3 million for a zombie-inspired CryptoPunk. The firm frequently acts as a go-between for famous NFT transactions, allowing people to guess as to whichever high-profile individual is driving the purchase.
MoonPay paid 900 ETH for the NFT yesterday at 11:52 p.m. UTC. With an ETH value of $3,406.48 at the moment, that's a $3,065,832 purchase.
Soon afterward, MoonPay sent out a tweet encouraging people to "predict" who the transaction was for. NBA stars to Gordon Ramsey were among the expectations made by fans.
The NFT - CryptoPunk #2681 – is among just 88 'zombie' punks produced, rendering it highly precious to collectors. The punk's most recent significant sale was from maxand98 for 277 ETH that was worth $542,219.19.
