'China' has recently 'updated' its cryptocurrency ranking report with Eos [EOS] maintaining its top position and Bitcoin [BTC] moving up three places, now at the 12th position.
The government-sponsored index assessed every 'blockchain' mainly on three criteria’s that included - technology, application and innovation.
Joining Eos [EOS] within the prime five ranks embody Tron [TRX], Ethereum [ETH], Steem [STEEM] and Ontology [ONT].
Despites the overall major dominance within the crypto ecosystem, the leading crypto - Bitcoin [BTC] was ranked at the 12th place. While it scored well for power, it placed behind Eos within the score for basic technology.
The rankings were revealed by the Centre for Information and Industry’s Development together with China’s Ministry for Industry and Information Technology.
This is the 12th assessment to take place, and updates are presently being made once every two months rather than monthly, the notice adds.
Eos [EOS] has 'held' the highest spot since June last year, whereas Tron [TRX] has been consistent resting at the 2nd place since Feb. 2019.
Chinese businesses are 'exploring' blockchain with a great interest. Just last week, e-commerce giant Alibaba 'revealed' its plans to integrate the technology into its intellectual property systems. Moreover, China’s renowned e-commerce web-site ‘JD.com' has also 'applied' for over 200 blockchain based patents.
