Coinbase exchange & Apple are still not getting along months after Coinbase has issued a warning to its users that it’d remove an app from the Apple Store.
As per a recent official tweet published, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong added that Apple continues to dam some functionalities for crypto assets, including having the ability to earn money & unrestricted dApp browsers. He added:
“Apple has been very restrictive and hostile to cryptocurrency over the years. They’re still blocking some functionality immediately, including the power to earn money with cryptocurrency by completing tasks, and unrestricted dApp browsers.”
Earlier in December last year, Coinbase exchange warned its users that it’d remove its dApp browser from its app to satisfy Apple’s App Store policies. At the time, both Apple and Google’s Android app store Google Play wanted to get rid of dApps in its network.
Apple, particularly its Application Store, has been under attack lately for unfair terms it gives to application developers & publishers. The Wall Street Journal, The NY Times, and games developer Epic Games have all called out Apple trying to find fairer terms for developers.
